Real Life #9

Based on "Cruel Life #9"
It All Sucks When Your Hopes Are Down...

You Hope, And Nothing Comes
C: You already talked about hopes.
Me: That was confidence, but I still want to remind people that not all hopes are good.C: You think there are bad hopes?
Me: I am not sure, but that is not what I mean.
C: Then what is it?
Me: I suggest that people should not really hope for anything.
C: Wait. You are talking about hope? Seriously? What hit you?
Me: Dude! Let me talk.
C: Okay?
Me: I do not understand why hope exists. Is it a way for people to be happy? Is it a belief?
C: It is more like something that helps people look up to things.
Me: Give me an example.
C: My hopes are up because I am going to the movie theatres with my girlfriend.
Me: That does not make sense.
C: Then you tell me what makes sense.
Me: What if something goes wrong in the theatre? What if it burns down, or they do not let you in? What if your girlfriend breaks up with you? I realized that it does not makes sense. Hope is another word for fantasy.
C: Fantasy?
Me: Well, it is like something that you can imagine, and is most likely not to happen. By experience, hope is what makes this less likely to happen. For example, when you plan something, you are so exited because you think that is is actually going to happen. The thing is, when something goes wrong, all your hopes are broken down to reality.
C: Not all.
Me: But most. It all sucks when your hopes are down.
C: Well then what makes you think it sucks?
Me: Is is usually because you hope for what you mostly depend on. For example, You hope when things go wrong, and are least likely to be fixed.
Hope

C: Not everyone hopes like that.
Me: In a way, you are right, but then again, hope can break your heart.
C: Your heart?
Me: Yes. Hope is that powerful.
C: Realize that hope can also be powerful enough to make something happen.
Me: Like, something unreal?
C: More like, something unsuspected.
Me: Well then I guess that it was today's lesson. I will take your word, but I am still not confident about this.
C: I hope you do.
